Brooks Summon 2 running shoe delivers a stable option for runners of all sizes and speeds. The midsole cushioning is made of BioS-257, a more sustainable choice, while a smooth heel-to-toe transition keeps you running smoothly. BROOKS SUMMON 2 is a neutral shoe for the keen runner. The re-designed outer sole design provides more support and direction and the uncoupled heel model reduces the initial impact shock and provides a soft transition from landing on your heel right through to take off from your toes.The heel cap provides optimal support in the heel area where wear and tear often happens. HPR PLUS - a higher durability, abrasion-resistant rubber outsole compound that wears longer. Pod Tech - A system of 'pods' in the midsole and outsole enabling the shoe to bend and flex more naturally while still supporting the foot at its most critical points. Rear and forefoot Hydroflow provides excellent cushioning and shock absorption. DRB Accel A shank-like thermoplastic device provides torsional rigidity to the midfoot, enhancing support while allowing the heel and forefoot to act independently. S-257 Cushsole - A durable, energy-efficient midsole compound used as an insole board for even more cushioning and flexibility. What is HYDROFLOW? HydroFlow® is a system of chambers sitting under the heel area of the midsole. The contained silicone-oil compound dampens the impact of the foot on the ground and offers optimal shock absorbtion and comfort. HydroFlow® is used in all Brooks shoes.
